Reach out and touch
Somebody’s hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
Reach out and touch
Somebody’s hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
Reach out and touch
Somebody’s hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
Reach out and touch
Somebody’s hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
(Just try)
Take a little time out of your busy day
To give encouragement
To someone who’s lost the way
(Just try)
Or would I be talking to a stone
If I asked you
To share a problem that’s not your own
We can change things if we start giving
Why don’t you
Reach out and touch
Somebody’s hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
Reach out and touch
Somebody’s hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
(Just try)
If you see an old friend on the street
And he’s down
Remember his shoes could fit your feet
(Just try)
Try a little kindness you’ll see
It’s something that comes very naturally
We can change things if we start giving
Why don’t you
Reach out and touch
Why don’t you (Why don’t you)
Reach out and touch somebody’s hand
There are those within each of our communities who need our financial help. Maybe we can volunteer and spend time at a Hospital. Maybe we can spend an hour a week walking dogs or cuddling cats at an animal shelter. We could try to become a Big Brother or Sister to a child who needs guidance, reassurance and hope. We should feel obligated, privileged and favored to tithe ourselves 1 tenth (10%) of our increase to help bring the good news to the people of the world. Our offering is between us and our father…A secret that will be openly rewarded. A second 10th which we impose upon ourselves is to be put aside for keeping the seven Feasts of Our Father and every third year a third tithe is set aside for the poor. Please feel free to make your offering by mailing a check to Yashayahnah Associates, 1211 Buena Vista Street, Apt 2b Care of David Brand, Pittsburgh, Pa 15212.
The third tithe can be paid to any of the following or the offering of your choosing. Natural disasters around the world always leave victims; maybe we can send funds to a relief effort. CARE is one of my favorites. Doctor’s Without Borders is a close second. There are a number of organizations where you can sponser a child in a country struck with poverty and illness. Here’s just one -Â Their work is great but their religion may need validation. There is something so special about making a child smile and this is my favorite by far. TheSmileTrain. Explore their site and see the transformations that become smiling miracles. Just go to the “Smiles” page and press all the blue bars.
Many are impacted by various illnesses. Diabetes comes to mind. Press to link to the American Diabetes Association.
All offerings need to be evaluated. Here is a website that schools us in making the appropriate contributions. Professional fund raising is a career and much of the money we donate to professional fundraisers pays them their salary and very little goes to the actual charity. Please donate directly to the organization without going through a “broker”.
Our offerings and compassion is the greatest gift we can give to others. Having worked in the financial world for the majority of my life I know all about investments. The biggest investment we can make is not financial, it is an investment in the size of our heart we are blessed to have, a heart of appropriate spiritual wisdom we need to share with others. It took me 47 years to learn how and I am still finding I fall short of the expectations of Elohim. Good deeds alone will not guarantee us a spot in The Kingdom to come but they may help others get to the narrow gate that leads to righteousness.
Take the time to find a worthy cause and give until it hurts a little. The true measure within the gift is the offering we give up in trying to make the world a better place. When we give of ourselves to others we give up something we could have enjoyed in life for the betterment of the individual or organization we gave to.
If we see them, if we feel them, we can reach out and touch them with healing. Take it from The Who and become a somebody who cares. Just remember in making a donation we are receiving no esteem, all esteem belongs to Our Father. Our help to others is a good way to Esteem Our Father and we do so with thanks and praise in the Name of Our Savior Yashanah Messiah.
“See Me, Feel Me,Touch Me, Heal Me” By The Who
See me, feel me, touch me, heal me.
See me, feel me, touch me, heal me.
See me, feel me, touch me, heal me.
See me, feel me, o touch me, heal me.
Listening to you I get the music.
Gazing at you I get the heat.
Following you I climb the mountain.
I get excitement at your feet!
Right behind you I see the millions.
On you I see the glory.
From you I get opinions.
From you I get the story.
Listening to you I get the music.
Gazing at you I get the heat.
Following you I climb the mountain.
I get excitement at your feet!
Right behind you I see the millions.
On you I see the glory.
From you I get opinions.
From you I get the story.
Listening to you I get the music.
Gazing at you I get the heat (heat).
Following you I climb the mountain.
I get excitement at your feet!
Right behind you I see the millions.
On you I see the glory.
From you I get opinions.
From you I get the story.
Listening to you I get the music.
Gazing at you I get the heat.(heat)
Following you I climb the mountain.
I get excitement at your feet!
Right behind you I see the millions.
On you I see the glory.
From you I get opinions.
From you I get the story.
Right behind you I see the millions.
On you I see the glory.
From you I get opinions.
From you I get the story.
Remember our offerings are a secret between us and Our Father which I have come to realize means not taking deductions for offerings on our tax returns. Yes, Satan has created a taxation system where the wealthy can deduct their offerings from their income. Those of us eligible to deduct offerings on our taxes name who we contribute to and as such the government and others have access to who we made donations too thus nullifying our offering with Our Father in heaven keeping our heavenly treasure at zero.
Mat 6:1-4  “Beware of doing your kind deeds before men, in order to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in the heavens. 2 “Thus, when you do a kind deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do, in the congregations and in the streets, to be praised by men. Truly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 “But when you do a kind deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your kind deed shall be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret shall Himself reward you openly.
Do not accumulate or collect treasures on earth – they have no heavenly value and are the currency of evil.
Mat 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart shall be also.
It’s time to listen to Our Father and Our Savior in heaven. They have much they want to say to us and we need to take the time to hear “The Word” with open hearts and eyes that see.
